The first RHS London show of the year, for me, always signals that winter is nearly over. Hurrah, bloomin’ hurrah!
I can’t wait to see what delights lie in store. Scrumptious hellebores no doubt,
all manner of delectable snowdrops,
and oodles of luscious ferns. What more could a girl ask for ?? All this (and more!) from some of the best nurseries in the country.
Theres’s also a whole programme of talks, a plant clinic, seeds and a generous selection of seed potatoes to buy. Always worth the journey.
Thx for the reminder. Been feeling v gloomy – lots of difficult family stuff – but a trip down to the RHS tomorrow will cheer me up. Best, Rossana

Hi Rossana, hope you enjoy it! N x
Lovely to see, but can’t make the link to the show work.

Thanks Nicolette, should work now!
You’ve sure whetted my appetite! Might make a trip up from deepest darkest Kent and would be lovely to share a cuppa
Hi Fern, see you at the next one hopefully! N x
Wish I was going. Have a brilliant time Naomi.
Thanks Anna
Just leaving now for the plant fair , with strict instructions to not bring back to much, haha. My friend is making sculpture with mashed potatoes in the second hall, daft idea, but will go and say hello, doesn’t the RHS realise all we ant to do is buy plants !
Hi Naomi, I emailed you earlier in the week, hoping to catch up at the show – perhaps it’s gone in your junk box (story of my life! haha!). Anyhoo, hope you enjoy the show. Am off to see it today, Friday, although feeling guilty as the dry weather makes me feel I should be outdoors gardening!
Sorry i missed you at the sculpting stand ! Enjoyed it all as ever, but do think too much space given to sellers of strange foreign plants , which aren’t hardy …..still managed to spend all my pocket money though.
Hi Camilla, sorry to have missed you. Spent my pocket money too!
What a great start to the gardening year today was! Absolutely bowled over by the Jacques Amand Iris collection – I would have gone all the way up from the South Coast just to see that alone! Hope you enjoyed it too Naomi.
Hi Clive, yes loved those Irises. Just about to write a post about the visit…had a great morning there.
So pleased you and spring are back, i’ve lots o different snowdrops and crocus tomasinianus and the woodpecker is drumming madly.Yippee
My Crocus tomasianus just peeking through too. Gorgeous sight. Thanks for lovely comment Anita.
