Our first Dog Show was part of the now ‘resting’ ‘Chelsea Fringe’ back in 2019 and by popular demand, has returned most years (Covid allowing) ever since. We’re very grateful to Islington Council’s Community Chest funding and to Neilson and Bauer, our local estate agents, for their support, which allows our community growing project to continue to flourish.And so again this year, you and your gorgeous canines are invited to join us on Sunday 20th October for another joyous afternoon (2-5) on Avenell Road, N5, in Finsbury Park, with seven jolly categories to tempt you:
Best young dog handler under 12
Dog with the waggiest tail
Best Dog Trick
Dog that looks most like it’s owner
Best flower or vegetable headdress or collar decoration
And Dog you’d most like to take home (a previous winner poses for admirers above!).
As ever, they’ll be free tea and cakes,
and free autumn-planted bulbs to plant in front gardens, window boxes and tree pits, to green up our streets.
All are welcome to this very enjoyable FREE event, with or without dogs. The street is closed off, so there’s plenty of room for children to play, time to sit and chat with neighbours and the opportunity to be hugely charmed by the best dogs in town!
